With the help of our donors, we have purchased an 8000 square foot building in downtown Marks, MS which will be the future home of our care center. The care center will provide rent-free housing for eight teachers, lodging for volunteer teams, and will be a place of ministry, mentoring, and tutoring.
THE CARE CENTER WILL OFFER:
Quitman County Schools ranked second to last in state testing for the 2016 academic year. We have partnered with the local school system to recruit new teachers to serve the Quitman County School District. We are blessed to have a team of young minds who have a passion to engage, empower, equip, and inspire students to achieve greatness.
Our heart is to partner with local churches to help reach the community. Volunteer groups from all over Mississippi have come to pour into their own state and help construct the care center.
Quitman County has one of the highest unemployment rates in the US. Our vision is to empower the Marks community by creating jobs. We are accomplishing this by equipping local artisans to make products sold through our trunk shows and online marketplace. We are looking for ways to engage other types of businesses in the near future.
