Marks, Mississippi

Marks is located in Quitman County, a beautiful community which confronts educational, spiritual, economic, and emotional challenges that impact many students' opportunities and potential. Our children should not have to pay the price for such injustices. Through the lens of gospel-centered discipleship, teacher recruitment, and family programs, we link arms with churches, families, and schools to strengthen our community. This empowers Quitman County students to not only overcome these obstacles but to grow into their fullest potential. Ultimately, these students will grow into leaders that serve Quitman County better than we ever could.

Why Quitman County?

“We believed the Lord was inviting us to be a part of His plan for the Mississippi Delta. Through a divine appointment, we came to  Marks, and we began to meet with citizens and community leaders to listen to their thoughts on the needs of the area.”

Today’s Students Are Tomorrows Leaders

The children in our community should not have to pay the price for such injustices. Together, we can help children in Quitman County overcome these obstacles and grow into their fullest potential to be change makers.

Ladies in Prayer

This group of women were founded on coming together to pray for the children and the school district. Women from all walks of life come together to grow in their personal relationships with the Lord, with each other, and to cover Quitman County in prayer and service.

Mentorship Program

We have paired teachers, police officers, social workers, instructional coaches, and pastors with students based on their leadership potential. Our amazing mentors are working on building trust and deepening their relationships with their students as they help them deal with emotions, school work, driving permits, plans for after high school, and daily issues that the students bring up.
