Hartfield Academy Spring Break Team in Marks, MS

For the past 3 years, Hartfield Academy in Flowood, MS has partnered with us by bringing their high school students during spring break to serve in Marks, MS. Every year the group has grown in number, and this year they brought 42!

Over the years, we have learned the value of peer-to-peer relational ministry. The high schoolers here in the Delta, and from Hartfield Academy work together in the community doing service projects while building relationships through fun youth events at The Village. It has been beautiful to see these two groups of students become year-round friends where they are seeing each other as people like themselves, rather than locational stereotypes.⁣

Because of Hartfield, we are looking to better our peer-to-peer encounters because we believe this is an important step in living out the Gospel. In result, it sends people back to their homes knowing that the Mississippi Delta is a place that God loves and has a plan to care for His people. We are so THANKFUL for each Hartfield student, teacher, and chaperone that joined us for spring break!
